Sur la paroi à droite de la niche on reconnaît plusieurs scènes qui font partie du mythe de Mithra tel qu'il est connu par de nombreux exemples. Ainsi, juste à côté de la niche, on voit un personnage drapé, flanqué de deux anguipèdes ; c'est le combat primordial de Zeus, fondateur de l'ordre cosmique qui prépare l'avènement du dieu persique.

En effet, le motif suivant, déjà sur le mur est, représente le jeune dieu sortant de la roche-mère qui prend la forme d'un omphalos pris dans les convolutions d'un serpent.
